Shield International School recently celebrated its annual Cultural Diversity Day, bringing together students, staff, and parents for a vibrant showcase of global traditions, food, music, and attire. This year’s theme, “One World, Many Stories,” emphasized the value of inclusivity and cross-cultural understanding.
Students proudly represented over 20 countries through song, dance, poetry, and traditional fashion. Highlights included a Kenyan tribal dance, a Japanese tea ceremony, and a Ghanaian drumming performance. Food stalls across the campus offered dishes from Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe.
“This event is a reminder that while we come from different places, we are one united community,” said Principal Abena Owusu. “It’s a celebration of the rich cultural tapestry that makes Shield truly international.”
Cultural Diversity Day remains a cornerstone of Shield’s holistic education approach — promoting empathy, global awareness, and mutual respect.
